Yorktown Police say they responded to Macy’s to investigate a previous larceny on Tuesday, Oct. 8 around 3:30 p.m.
While at Macy’s, police say they were informed by the store’s Asset Protection Unit that another shoplifting incident was in progress.
Further investigation revealed that Ernest Hepburn, 34, of the Bronx entered the store and stole children’s clothing valued at $198, police say.
Hepburn was located outside the store and placed under arrest. He was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
